Celtic Christmas

Premiere:

Celtic Christmas is a choral suite drawing together beloved carols, folk traditions, and newly imagined arrangements into a unified Christmas journey shaped by Celtic musical language. The work unfolds in three sets of six songs — A Winter Homecoming, The Light in the Darkness, and The Great Rejoicing — moving from warmth and communal welcome, through inward reflection and mystery, to joyful proclamation and celebration.

Scored for choirs of approximately 20–80 singers, with 2–4 featured vocal soloists, Celtic Christmas may be presented as a complete concert program or divided across multiple Advent services.

Wild Mountains, Wild Seas

Designed for community choirs, college choirs, and professional choirs

Wild Mountains, Wild Seas is a Celtic concert experience for 40-120 voice SATB choirs featuring new arrangements by composer/arranger Chappell Kingsland. The music blends Irish and Scottish traditions with contemporary folk energy, ideal for St. Patrick's Day-themed concerts or Folk Music concerts any time of year.

The project grows out of selected instrumental and vocal arrangements previously developed for Strings of Brigid, allowing musical ideas to be tested in performance before being expanded into full choral settings.

• Accompaniment for 5 instruments: Harp, Guitar, Violin, Percussion, Piano/Percussion
• Accompaniment for 8 Instruments: Flute, Oboe/Tin Whistle, Harp, Acoustic Guitar, Violin, Cello, 2 Percussionists

— CHORAL EXPERIENCE:

Chappell Kingsland has served as Accompanist for the Arvada Chorale (2013-present), Lamont Women's Choir (University of Denver), Contemporary Vocal Ensemble (Jacobs School of Music), First Unitarian Society of Denver, Safonia (Denver), Regis University Choirs, Rocky Mountain Children's Chorus outreach programs, University Choir & Women's Chorus (University of Colorado-Boulder), and Rochester Women's Community Chorus.

He has also been the Choir Director for Salem United Church of Christ (Denver, CO) and First Universalist Church (Rochester, NY). Chappell has been a choral singer in numerous highschool, college, church, and pickup groups as well.

In addition, Chappell has written arrangements and compositions for nearly all of the above-mentioned choirs. The choral pieces listed on this shop right now are just the tip of the iceberg; MANY MORE will be posted in the months ahead.
